We're looking for a an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team.


The ideal candidate will have construction accounting experience in a public works environment.  A head for numbers and attention to detail is a must, with an inquisitive mind eager to seek positive solutions in this everchanging and evolving industry.


Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain day to day accounting tasks and procedures to insure the smooth and organized operation of the accounting department in accordance with GAAP.

  • Process Accounts Payable with heavy emphasis on subcontract payables and tracking.

  • Supervise accounting clerk who processes weekly payroll and AP invoicing.

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual payroll related tax returns and deposits.

  • Prepare monthly journal entries to reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy of the general ledger.

  • Coordinate with controller to produce monthly financial statements.



  • 5 years experience as full charge bookkeeper.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

  • Strong work ethic and comfortable working independently.

  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills.

  • Experience with Foundation Accounting Software a plus.
