PAYROLL AND ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST
We are seeking a Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist with experience in union payroll and job cost accounting. The ideal candidate will manage payroll processing and accounts payable functions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities include:

Prepare and process all new hire paperwork.

Respond to payroll and accounts payable inquiries from employees, vendors, and management.

Process weekly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management.

File certified payroll records online with the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries and LCPTracker, as required.

Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

Manage accounts payable functions, including processing invoices, verifying accuracy, and ensuring timely payments.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.

Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Qualifications:

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience with a union construction company required.

Strong understanding of union labor contracts, payroll laws, and regulations.

Proficiency in accounting software (Foundation, Sage, Viewpoint or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay & Benefits:

Salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $75,000.00
